The Challenge for Amina Muhammad, the Challenge for the International Community
The Taliban are ruled by the most conservative, hard-line, octogenarian rulers. They believe that the only job that women should have is doctors because they have to help women produce children. The challenge for Amina Muhammad, the international community, and I feel it's a challenge for all of us, is to ask questions of the Taliban in the hope of moving them forward. If the international community shuts the door, turns the light off, we are talking about people living in pitch black, in the dark.
