Coaching became something of interest to you when i started teaching in 1988. My coaching started with school teams then brushed out into coaching community teams and then semi-professional for a couple of years as an adult. I was thrown into being the first 18 football coach at 22 point something years of age because my birthday is late in the year so at the start of the year i'm often younger than people born in the same year as me. Newman College had a really strong culture of sport driven by the head of physical education who's also the sports coordinator. We were regularly the division one all Catholic colleges athletics champions swimming champion we won the majority of the all Catholic colleges summer and winter sports. The
