The Importance of the Family in a Global Crisis
The extended family pattern is a strong and the variety of older relatives, specially mothers in law and uncles, extert control over the woman in household life. Their influence is often stronger than that of the husband and his and this has greatetension and conflict between female members of the family. The back of the social tention or i belonging in relation to the built environment may have enduring consequences for the whole family as well. To inhabit homes in gaza is to appropriate domestic spaces while falling in between the isrel constrains, constraining power and the sociocultural forces of appropriation.
