The Effects of Hair Loss on Skin Pigmentation
The hair follicle is this mini organ that allows us to experiment with all of the different ways that you can modify it even within an individual, right? And when it comes to hair loss, we know that it has to do something to do with hormones. But the question is, what is it about the scalp hair follicle that gets exhausted? Like, why senescence there? Why does it die off? We can ask a similar question about pigmentation, because you see a lot of people who will have deep, pigmented gray or white hair at a certain age but their skin still seems to have active melanocytes.
