The Importance of Basic Science Claims

The claims that are made by these labs are backed up by rigorous basic science. The problem is you cannot make those claims in a cosmetic product. So there's very likely products out there that act almost as drugs at that level, but they just don't tell you that they can't because then they would have to be regulated as drugs. And so even though we know that some of the things that are sold in the supplement counter are functioning like drugs, they are supplements because they're refraining for making drug claims.
