The Transformation of Afghanistan After the Taliban Overthrow
The millions who fled Afghanistan during the Taliban period came back. They brought with them money that they'd often made abroad. Kabul blossomed most of all, because it's the centre of everything. There are now skyscrapers in Kabul,. whereas there was nothing higher than I think a four story building when the Taliban were thrown out.
