The Greatest Thing Ever Happened
The story goes that when the army encountered Napoleon and his followers, they trained their guns on them and were ready to fire. One soldier yelled out, Viva Emperor! Long live the emperor! And soon, all of them were chanting it. With a full army regiment now under his control, Napoleon continued on to Paris. Louis XVIII fled in a stagecoach, and just like that, Napoleon was once again emperor of the French.
