The Wagner Group and the Putin Coup Attempt

I consider myself a modestly well read person, modestly well informed. I had never heard of the Wagner group or pregojan prior to this coup attempt last week. And it felt to me like it came a little bit out of the blue and was such like a weird kind of shocking event. But stepping back, if you look at modern day dictators, they tend to stay in power for about three decades. Putin's in his third. He will look back on his end, which will be in the next 10 years, either through cancer or through his invasion of Ukraine.
