Manifestations and Management of Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia

This chapter discusses the hallmarks of disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC) in APL patients, including low fibrinogen, thrombocytopenia, elevated D-dimer levels, abnormal PT and PTT, and high white blood count. The management approach for APL patients, including the use of blood products and potential use of tranexamic acid, is also explored.
