The power lies with who decides what's emphasized. And I think that example from Levy Strauss goes to that, but I think maybe the filmmaker would be the sort of, you know what I mean, it's kind of like the omniscient position, the eye of God in a sense that selects. We're also ignorant of just the way that the language of film, the way that cuts work, et cetera,. It's not necessarily this thing that you would perhaps understand without being immersed within the milieu of cinematic language which is a good metaphor.
