The defense has been a big problem for the Detroit Lions this season. The team had high hopes in April and May, but it hasn't lived up to those expectations. Head coach Jim Caldwell says injuries have played a large part in what's gone wrong. But he also points out that there are still plenty of talented players on the roster.
