The average reader could sit down and have read Hosea, the 14 chapters of Hosea front to back within about 32 minutes. So this is what God asks Hosea to do. And then would you read that for us from Hosea chapter one, just verses two and three? When the Lord first began speaking to Israel through Hosea he said to him, go and marry a prostitute so that some of her children will be conceived in prostitution. This will illustrate how Israel has acted like a prostitute by turning against the Lord and worshiping other gods. That's where we'll spend a lot of our time this week.
