Is There a Difference Between China and North Korea?

Over the last decade, North Korea has become a lot less closed. The regime wasn't able to stop much smuggling. People have been getting in DVDs and whatnot. They watch South Korea and soap operas. And so they really kind of, I think Kim Jong Un knew that he had to open things up to allow them to gain some of the luxuries that they knew were out there.
