Introduction

Tim Mackie is a card-carrying Bible history and language nerd who thinks that Jesus of Nazareth is utterly amazing. On this podcast he's putting together the last ten years' worth of lectures and sermons where I've been exploring the strange and wonderful story of the Bible. This week we're going to explore the meaning and significance of one of the most important things that Jesus ever said to his followers which is passing along to us his prayer. We'll also focus in on how this prayer is designed, what Jesus was doing when he said it passed along these words in this way.
