The Prophet Is Not Afraid to Speak Truth
He is speaking in the classical tradition of prophets where there's truth speakers and they speak what God wants them to speak because that's what needs to be heard. He sounds a lot like Elijah where he's saying, you have actually stepped on the face of my people. You are crushing my people. And he comes to protect the innocent. There's some pretty sinister things going on or else he would not speak this way. That's where this chapter is leading.
