Every Christian subculture has its own slogans and buzzwords. Ryan: It is often hard for me to navigate these different Christian subcultures because the weird slogans that they use just don't really make sense to me. One of the biggest struggles I have is when a shallow slogan is used to guide one's life, he says. "I remember hearing a lot of people tell me, 'God had abandoned me' When I was going through a serious breakup and felt like God had abandoned me, this slogan was always behind me"
