Is There a Difference Between Exercise and Meaningful Work?
We all do stuff we don't want to do, right? And there's a certain amount of that that's just part of the work day. Part of this is, is giving people control, right? If people feel like they're not in control and they can't choose, that really affects how they feel about what they do. I actually think it fits into the exercise analogy because, you know, people who exercise consistently are doing an activity that they like. Whether that's running or swimming or dance or martial arts or whatever,right? How do we make sure that these bursts of energy tend to also generate or be part of meaningful work?
