It's got the world's largest surviving victorian glass building, the mperate house - originally designed in 18 59 by architect decimus burton. So these victorian buildings were feats of engineering to house these tropical plants and keep them alive. That went alongside the exploration and discovery that went into finding these plants in the first places,. from all over the world.
