In a way, it sounds like a netian critique. What he's rejecting is the pleasure principle. For socrates, it's about making wisdom the highest thing. goodness of this sort may be a kind of illusory facade and fit for slaves indeed. That takes real courage only because it's less common. And i think nicha might agree with that. He's just going to come to a different conclusion from yours.
