Is a Machete a Knife?

All machetis are knives, not all swords. Tang refers to the part of the knife blade that extends to the handle. The tang plays an important factor in products cost as well as how a knife performs with constant use. Machetes are considered bigger knives due to their build purpose and construction. Compared to most cutting tools, they are best placed in a large, larger knife category instead.
