Exhaustion is not just tiredness. It isn't the kind of thing that a little bit of time off can cure. In my case, i found myself getting irrationally angry at very minor perceived slights. My temper became very short. I had less patience for ordinary obstacles that students face. And yet, i mean, i saw the students as as a problem.
