The Frog and the Frog's Curse

In the 1300s, an iconographer depicted curiosity as a woman with wings and ears attached to her robe. The image is supposed to capture its capacity to embrace all of the spirit of the sky but also listen widely. In talking about these different styles of curiosity through the bodies of different animals, we are again talking about the phenotype as a model of the world.
