What Makes for a Successful Investment?

Steve Jobs was a highlight in my career unfortunately I got to go to the analyst meeting every year and either see him or do everything I could to sit at his table during one of these meals. What impressed me most about him was the way he could explain the question his answer and how he arrived at his answer in two or three or four sentences it was truly impressive. If he wasn't at Apple what would he do and he said that he would probably build a next-generation car company which I thought was kind of interesting. That was around the time when it was not clear that Tesla was going to be a great success so I think those great minds were thinking alike.
