The average debt for millennials who have a balance on their credit card is about $6,200. 50 to 59 year olds have the highest overall credit card debt at 6900. 30 to 39 year olds have an average of $26,000 in student debt. The next highest debt group is Gen Z with 475,000 in mortgage debt.
