Canadians Grow Their Own Blueberries
As california experiences its worst drought in 12 hundred years, two of north america's largest fruit sellers are looking to canada to grow there berries. Canada's short growing seasons made mass production impossible on the path, but longer summers, new technology and new varieties of berries could actually change that. The little blue fruit accounts for sxty one % of the value of canadian fruit exports,. over 20 times more than strawberries and raspberris. That's a big number.
