Blood Plasma, White Blood Cells and Platelets
An average adult contains about five leters of blood, which is about seven % of total bodyweight. Blood consists of 55% plasma and 40% formed elements. Red blood cells are responsible for carrying oxygen around the body. There's also white blood cels, which are part of the immune system. platelets are cell remnants that are involved in the immune system as well as in blood clotting.
