The Azov Battalion in Ukraine
The azov battalion keeps being mentioned as an example of how prevalent natism is in ukraine. It was set up in the very early days of the war, eight years ago, by people determined to fight the russians. They were accused of committing atrocities such as torture and rape. What we are seeing now is a slightly different version of the azov battalion. None of the rhetoric on social media exhibits any signs of right wing,. let alone neonaty bias., perhaps because they are aware of what sort of damage it will do to ukrane's cause.
