Context Is King, Right?

In 2000 years, if somebody were actually to watch these Tolkien movies. How much knowledge do you have to have to really understand what's going on here? I want my students to come away saying no, this is a trustworthy gospel. Context is king. You've got to buy the right books. If you are a teacher or a pastor, you've got to dabble with the original languages. That's where the gold is.
