In order for there to be superimposition, there must be ignorance. Shankaracharya clarifies that it is partial ignorance which is necessary. We all agree we know ourselves and who else knows myself more than me? Then how can there be a mistake? Ignorance is necessary for mistake. Agayana is necessary for a diasa but there is no gayana here. The self is known. It's like an illusion. It's snake comes. But only because you've seen a snake earlier. And they're real snake.
Adhyasa Bhashya is Adi Shankara’s introduction to the Brahma Sutras. Swami Sarvapriyananda gives a brief overview of this commentary, over three sessions.
