The Syntactical Phrase, Uk Ude, Neither Nor
Commentarians have the simplest explanation for why women were not allowed to teach men. Paul says why in verse 13 because of the order of creation. That might be offensive, but it makes sense grammatically and exegetically. The syntactical phrase uk ude, neither nor, has been debated by scholars since the early 80s.
