The History of Marriage in Ancient Greece
Women were eligible to get married once they hit puberty, usually between the ages of 11 and 14. The Greeks believed men were essentially stupid during the timeframe of their life. A bride would prepare for her big day by shaving her head and dressing up in her future husband's clothes. They believe that there was a special vein called the vein of love which went from your heart all the way to your ring finger on your left hand.
