Zen buddhism is still a very popular philosophy over there. But the japanese don't have much of a prolem with integrating different things into their culture from different religious or philosophical ideas. There's one ancient source that claims that socrates had a conversation with an indian tradeer. The cana also is famed in eastern philosophy to some extent, not so much in christianityslam,. perhaps, like, not in the same way.
