The White House's Dilemma Over Foster's Death
President Clinton's friend shot himself to death in his office at the White House last night. Peter Bergen: The official White House line was that Foster's death was inexplicable. He says investigators from the Park Police wanted to search his office for a note or any other window into state of mind. Bergen: Bernie Nussbaum decided that he would be the one to look through Foster's papers and separate out anything privileged or confidential.
