All the big book publishing houses in the united states were located in new york hat. The industrial revolution was a process by which we trew off, as a species, those malphusian shackles. We found a way to use our resources better and productivity would grow. Because productivity was growing, income per head could grow. And slowly, country by country that went through this, they were able to do what had provesly been unimaginable see consistent growth in population at the same time as consistent growth in income per head.
