The Effects of Drugs on the Brain

Sally Kohn: What's so great about having kids is when they see things for the first time and then you get to see it the same way. But I think there's a neurological reason for that because our brains have adapted, not just our psyches or our personalities but also visually editing out things that aren't important. So speaking of drugs, that's one of the things that drugs can do,. certain drugs, psychedelics, for example, will stop that process. And you will see a flower in all of its beauty or whatever. That's really not helpful.
