There is no possible way that these large language model based programs can ever do anything that even approximate self awareness consciousness or something we would have to be concerned about. The underlying parameters of GPT3, once you train it up, for example, do not change as you start running requests through it. There's no such thing as a static entity where nothing can change. Nothing in it changes that you would consider to be alive. No, this model is not the right type of AI technology that could ever become self-aware.
