Use the internet, speak to people, listen to the radio, read a lot and read different kinds of text. There are plenty of very good blogs that you can use to just find out about the world in english,. but also to actually improve your English. I'll give you some pronunciation drills at the end of this podcasten - i'll ask you to copy them.
