The Importance of Relevance in Machine Learning
You need to have like the importance of one thing being in relation to another is critically important to understand what either thing actually is. If you just have all that data and you just like throw a machine learning algorithm at it, it might not develop something that we would call intelligence. It might be able to pick out certain patterns, but it won't be able to integrate those into anything that we would consider to be intelligent or even vaguely resembling consciousness. But if you're always moving from this place of leveraging your prior knowledge and specifically being tethered to your embodied engagement with world, which you can kick free of that tethering to different degrees. That then makes the problem more tractable.
