The Importance of Patriotism in the United States

The 1924 Immigration Restriction Act was the first universal federal immigration restriction act. It set up quotas for every group that would be allowed to immigrate with big quotas given to white Protestant groups like from England or Germany. The clan also did some local legislation, but they weren't so terribly effective. They tried to ban Catholic schools and only passed in Oregon.
