The Pushback to Black Christianity

In the past five to 10 years, I've become much more aware of some things in larger evangelicalism. There's absolutely been Christians who would be perceived and identified as white who have been a part of the global Christian movement. And so when I think about Charles Spurgeon's refusal to even have communion with slaveholders, Charles Spurgeon was a European Christian. But he repudiated white Christianity to great consequence. He chose the side with the historic faith of Christ. So again, faith is weaponized. Faith is used for self-gluor and self-advancement.
