What Advice Would You Give to Someone Starting Out in AI?

Melanie, I think that you have a very interesting and important perspective just on what AI should be going for. As somebody who has done so many important things in the field, I'd love to hear your advice on somebody who's perhaps starting out their career or just thinking about how do I make an impact on this field. What advice could you leave to that person in terms of what to study, how to go about doing research, how to pick important problems? Yeah, this is a great question. It's difficult to answer because AI is so broad. There are still big open questions. This whole question of few shot learning and abstraction and analogy, I think, is still wide open
