The World Economy Is an Infinitely Complex Web of Interconnections
Forecasting is difficult foa large number of reasons, including our limited understanding of the processes that will produce the future. Once you get two or three levels out it really impossible to know with any confidence how those connections work. That in turn shows what is unnerving about the economic calamity accompanying the spread of the novel corono virus. And it opens the possibility of a global economy, com y different from the one that has prevailed in recent decades. I seem to be in good company in my belief that the future is unknowable.
