What Makes a Good Representation?
I'm curious if there are any more fine-grained intuitions you have about what a good representation should look like yeah so it's a great question and indeed like it's driven a lot of the research that I've enjoyed doing. So starting with meta data set work prior to that I got really as he said like the idea of solving new problems and doing a former transfer learning to learn new tasks from small amounts of data was something that I really wanted to tackle.

Professor Larochelle leads the Montreal Google DeepMind team and is adjunct professor at Université de Montréal and a Canada CIFAR Chair. His research focuses on the study and development of deep learning algorithms.
