How Much Sugar Do I Need to Have in My Diet?

Sugar intake in the population is anywhere between say 11% and 13%. That's clearly not that far off 10% or lower. But it's a little bit further off 5% if that's the target. And importantly, certainly from a cardiovascular disease mortality perspective, we really see the risk take off over about 20% of energy. So this is important to consider when we certainly think about the sugar over feeding studies.
