Bonding and Limits and Borders in Relationships
Secure attachment occurs when a parent can recognize distress in a child and provide relational relief as they grow. A secure connector also has a parent who can adapt to differences in temperament. The better the bonding experience for most kids, the easier the limits and boundaries are. But insecure attachment styles don't do as well with respect to going to others for relational relief.
