Inside a black hole, there's this whole black hole is dark and all that lore is completely true from the outside. But black holes can be bright on the inside because the light from the entire galaxy can fall in behind you. And so as you're on your way towards a singularity, the light travels faster than you do and it can catch up to you. You can watch the entire history of the galaxy unfold sped up for you. The future history, we could watch the Earth find out what happens with the whole climate change thing. Believe me, we'd already know.
How do supermassive black holes form? Neil deGrasse Tyson and comedian Chuck Nice come to you live to learn about the history of black holes, what’s inside them, and new discoveries with cosmologist Janna Levin and astrophysicist Jenny Greene.
