Eustace is this character who he's read all these books. He doesn't know what to do with any of that. Same thing occurs in Tilly Have Faces, which is probably the most underrated CS Louis book of all time. The Fox there is actually meant to stand in for his tutor who taught him that Christianity was stupid and ridiculous. Those are the only ways we could approach this stuff.
