The Society of Mind

A, there's an old idea in cognive science that still has a lot of currency. A, and one reason for having such modules is that it can make certain computations more efficient to the extent that you can have parallel processing different parts of the brain. Am, so we kind of invision the mind is consisting of a bunch of semi independent agents who kind of communicate with each other. And this hearkens back to an evocative phrase that the computer scientist marg veminski coined, the society of mind. The habit could be a kind of compiled planit. It could be a mapping from your stimula to act to actions that don't actually execute the plan itself.
