prednisone may be the right drug if it's a really low dose. If you can't control them with a low dose, then I think of methotrexate as the first second line cytotoxic drug for for sarcoid based on the amount of evidence available. And then there are a lot of other options along that pathway, which include azathioprine, mycofenolate, leflunamide.
