Reed moved in with Kale after Conrad moved out of the flat they shared. They started jamming with the eternal theatre's percussionist Angus McLeese. By this point Reed was no longer working for Pickwick, he was determined to make the music he wanted to make. The two of them scraped together money by giving blood and by having their photos taken to be used in fake tabloid newspaper articles,. where they were accused of being child molesters and serial killers.
